A week ago we started discussing the impact of women in leadership roles in real estate and now a week later we have an incredible list of 100 nominations of women that have and are making the mark on our industry. Congratulations to all nominees!

All Rainers are hereby invited to help us select the Top 20 Most Influential Women in Real Estate by casting their ballot.
************************************************************************
VOTING IS NOW OFFICIALLY CLOSED. RESULTS WILL BE POSTED ON MONDAY SEP 29th.

I voted!!!!
I voted, what a great and awesome group of women. They all have my vote, but 5 were selected.
Done...
3 votes in and counting.
I voted! And that's one impressive list!
Man that was HARD, I got my voting done! Great job setting up that poll.
Hey Stefan this is really a great idea, I am glad I was part of it. Have you thought what the 1st price holder will get?
Stefan,
Thanks for the heads up on the vote ...
Thanks for bringing the spotlight to the MANY influential women!!!
Stefan - putting the 100 into categories made it much easier than looking down an entire list of 100 - but choosing 5 out of that list is REALLY hard. I voted, though. It's just so hard to choose when you're comparing oranges and carambolas, both of which grow here in Florida.
An excellent list; difficult to choose from indeed!
The Vote Here button does not open ... I keep landing on the blog post ... I am signed in.
Got it!!! Must have been my browser.
Thanks, as an instructor for Champions School of Real Estate, one of the choices was very easy.
Thanks Stefan - I chose my favorites. Great list.
List and Sell (and the glass ceiling in real estate is gone) Gary @ RentonHomeFinder
Interesting list. I voted. I'd love to see the list link to the participants if this is ever done again. I wasn't familiar with all the names. It's great to see women emerging as the leaders they have always been and I hope to see increasing diversity as well.
Votes are in... Wow-- what a selection! Best of luck to all the amazingly talented women!! I know this would be very time consuming but I agree with Lola above!
I voted and it was a privelage. Thanks for organizing this!
Fran Thorsen is the best. SHe should be in the Top 10 if it were up to me. Outsanding women and expert in her field of real estate. Count me as a vote for her !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I voted
Well, I started not to vote because my name wasn't on the list ((waahh!) just kidding. Wish we could have voted for more than just five though, THAT was tough!
Thanks, I voted.
Count me as voted - and thanks for the opportunity to recognize these leaders.
I was thrilled to see the person that came to my mind first on your list, so I voted for her! This will be interesting to see the results!
Most of the names were unfamiliar to me, but I am a fairly new agent, just over a year. I voted for the ones I do know. Thank you for this opportunity!
Done, but wait I did not see my name there, LOL
Lots of great choices. I made my pick of the top 5. Congratulations to all that were nominated.
I voted and just wanted to ask why you included the KW rainers froup. There are other larger groups that are not "company oriented"
I voted. Thank you for organizing this. Best of luck to these amazing and talented women.
put in my vote... thanks for letting me know...
Interesting list. I haven't heard of well over half those people. Not sure how "influential" they are if I've never heard of them and I tend to keep my ears and eyes open...
I voted. Never seen such comprehensive list of influential women before. Congrats.
Stefan, I just posted about three that I know and admire, all are on your list of 100 women. They are Fran, Joeann and Sharon. And I have voted.
I threw in my 5 votes too!
I got my vote in - what an impressive list of women - anxious to see your results - however, they're all winners - regardless.
Done... it will be an interesting list.
Okay Stefan, I found it and I voted:)
I cast my ballot, but was surprised at some of the names that I DIDN'T see there - it must be incredibly difficult to narrow down to only the wonderfully accomplished women on the list.
I voted. Thanks for the inclusion. I'm grateful.
i voted...
I'm happy with my vote...one only and an active AR'er. Easy for me to say!
Later in the rain~Deb
I voted great list.

I was thrilled to see so many of the great women in the real estate business being recognized! It's a tough business and all of them make valuable contributions. BEST WISHES TO ALL.
I was thrilled to see so many of the great women in the real estate business being recognized! It's a tough business and all of them make valuable contributions. BEST WISHES TO ALL. Mary Burge,
I found a huge glaring ommission! Goldie Wolfe Miller. She owned her own commercial brokerage firm here in Chicago after leaving a Chicago icon - the venerable Rubloff & Co - to own her own business. She sold that company and is now giving back to the community in a huge way. My vote is for Goldie! Check her out here: http://www.roosevelt.edu/realestate/WomenLeadersinRealEstateforums.htm
@ Allysoun - The VOTE post was actually posted in 10 groups - five via the initial posting and in five others groups individually. I tried to identify the groups that appeared the most appropirate, the most active and the largest. If you can think of any other groups to place the VOTE post please let me know and I will do so immediately.
@ Donna - this is a very impressive list of very influential women and the majority of them have impressive resumes.
It is not all that surprising that you do not know half of them. The women nominated by Rainers are from across the country and from many different sectors of our business. I would be amazed if anyone knew all of them.
@ Lisa - you say you were surprised at some of the names you didn't see. The list is the most comprehensive list of influential women in real estate leadership I have ever seen and was created by Rainers over the last week nominating tens and tens of great women. I wish you had provided us your nominations as I would have gladly considered them for inclusion. Please do not forget for next year.
I voted! There were many I did not know but it is good to see so many women of influence in our industry!
My goodness, only FIVE from this formidable group? Well, I did it but it was tough, which is a good thing!
What a list! Wished I could have voted for more than 5.
They are all winners! Women Rock!
Great idea thank you!
A wonderful list of some very impressive minds, thanks for putting it together.
Thanks for putting this together for AR members to "vote." Difficult to choose just 5 from this amazing list of professionals!
Wish you had photos too. May have made it easier to recognize some of the women I dont know. Most impressive list I have even seen of real estate women. Thanks for compiling.
I voted and thanks for compiling this list.
I voted - and Patti Kouri is the most professional, knowledgeable, all encompassing coach that
you will ever meet - She is at the top of her field and is amazing
A nice group of women -- thanks for including me.

@ Al - Bernice is on the list under the category Authors and Educators
I have voted. Its in now Nice list youhave there
I voted and think this is a great way to honor some terrific women!
Mrs. Rapattoni is a great and most influential woman in the MLS Real estate business I have ever known.
I voted for her.
Al, Bernice was one of the FIRST women on the list!!! Bernice Ross and Joeann Fossland are the wind beneath the wings of MANY of the women on this list, including me. Their influence, counsel, and advice are priceless gifts to the real estate community at large. I am very blessed to count them as friends ... and to count other friends among The Really Awesome Women in Real Estate sorority who also appear on this list!
Some influential women on this heavy hitter list!
Good Luck Bonnie S. Mays !!!
Midori Miller and Sally Cheeseman are our 2 picks.
done -- nice list and difficult to select --
Thank you for the opportunity to vote. I find it very exciting that I know so many of the choices on the lists. This truly shows the importance women play in our industry. I know many of my role models and mentors in this industry have been women and I appreciated all the hard work and effort so many have put into our industry to make it the great profession that it is. You go Girls!!!
@ Castellum Realty - Nominations closed last week, this is the vote. The Vote link is directly below the Top 10 Image in the post.
And done:)
Way to Go Adorna!!!
Stefan, I agree with Frances, especially on Susie Hale - she is certainly on top of the list for me.
I like how her site (FrogPond.com) has a wealth of information that helps agents stay on top of industry news and grow their business with affordable, cutting edge solutions.
If you haven't already, you should definitely see all the video interviews that Susie did during Inman Connect at San Francisco.
Amazing women to choose from - hard to pick only 5!
Done.
WOW! Overwhelmingly impressive and so difficult to choose only five. The realtor family is so fortunate to have such a hardworking, formidable group!
Yeah! Bonnie Mays!
I am so proud to see my broker and one of the classiest and hard-working ladies in Dallas and beyond on the list - Virginia Cook!
I voted. What an impressive list of women. I am proud to see Pat Jensen a member of my company and the current VAR president on the list.
Awesome group - making it difficult to choose! Best wishes to all nominees!
absolutely awesome opportunity to vote for 5 nominees. A difficut task to choose just 5 with so many qualified choices.
I'm proud to see Nina Cottrell CEO of CRS be one of the nominees since CRS promotes professionalism at the highest level.
What an impressive group of women! Even more impressive is how approachable many of these women are. I've had the privilege of interacting with several of the women on the list. These are real women making a real difference in our industry and in our world. Thank you to all the women on this list for continuing to raise the bar - motivating, inspiring, mentoring, and challenging all of us to reach new levels.
What a impressive group! I voted!

Jim
I voted!! Good luck to all of the wonderful nominees.
I voted for several of the great ladies listed. One was Joann Fossland !!
Tough list to decide from but I voted. Niki Rapattoni was the easiest of them. Cofounding an MLS is no small task.
I have known Darity Wesley for years and am glad to see her nominated by her peers!
Darity is an inspiration for all women in business - blending spirituality with sharp real-world acumen. What a thrill to know she is being recognized nationally!
Way to go! You got my vote.
I voted for the best!
We can't wait to see the results.
Been in business for 21 years with Helen Hanna Casey as my mentor and friend in THE BEST COMPANY!

Shari is quite dynamic
This is a fantastic list of women. All of them deserve to be in the top 20!
What an amazing woman!! Shari Chase
I cast my vote...
Helen Hanna Casey is the Best of the Best!
Shari Chase is an inspirational leader dedicated to excellence. Chase International stays a step ahead of the competition by employing cutting edge technology to its product and educational opportunities to its associates. Go Shari!
Voted, done.
Very, very impressive group.
I already voted, but I forgot to sign in to Active Rain...soooo, here I am again.
What an impressive group of industry leaders! I know that I am repeating myself; but, with this group, repetition of praise still falls short of being adequate.
Great list; I would like to have 20 votes instead of 5.
Whoops!!! I left two important ladies off my list of Really Awesome Women in Real Estate sisters:
I Voted! Great categories!
It looks like a big chunk of comments are from the same person over and over again...I hope the voting is on the up and up....
@ Crystal - the comments are placed on the ActiveRain site and the actual voting takes place on the SurveyMonkey site. The two are not related. I think the multiple comments are by non-Rainers who are not knowledgeable of ActiveRain and leaving comments.
What a great list, and a tough choice!

What an amazing group of Incredibly Influential Women!! I count myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn from so many of these intelligent, talented women. It was very difficult to choose only 5, as they are all impressive.
Best list of real estate women ever. Hard to vote for only 5.
Thanks for the post. I voted and am looking forward to see the results.
Helen Hanna Casey is so fair, driven, knowledgeable and consistent in her goals, which she achieves as she spurs her agents on to work at their top potential, which she expects no less of herself!
Joye Weyman
I voted! What an honor to be included on this list. Great work, Dorcas!
I am honored to work for such a wonderful business woman and such a great leader in the real estate field. This is only one of the many impressive accomplishments she has achieved. Truly proud to be able to vote for her. Thank you Dorcas for mentoring, motivating, inspiring, and challenging all of us to reach new levels in the 11 offices you manage and watch over.

An amazing group of women. Proud to see Kelli Todd so well-deservedly onthe list!!
I am so glad to have had the opportunity to vote for an outstanding role model in our industry - Dorcas Helfant. Dorcas is a true inspiration, a leader in our local real estate market, as well as the first female President of NAR - think about breaking through that glass ceiling! Every female who has achieved a position of prominence or leadership in the real estate industry owes a tremendous vote of thanks to Dorcas for paving the way for us!
Thanks for the opportunity to choose my favorites!

How exciting it is to participate and view and Honor Roll of influential women. I voted for Shari Chase, a lady who through determination, business skill, and a good dose of "guts" has developed a well respected, and successful company. It is an honor to follow her example. Hope you win Shari!
I voted for my number 1 candidate.
What a fabulous list. Thank you Stefan for putting it together. So many amazing women but ia managed to vote for only 5!
