Amy Armstrong, LISW-S, is a nationally recognized Conflict Resolution Specialist and parent coach who has dedicated her career to transforming the way families, organizations, and communities navigate conflict. With degrees in Education and Social Work from Miami University of Ohio and The Ohio State University, Amy brings both academic rigor and compassionate leadership to her work. She is the co-founder of The Center for Family Resolution (CFR) in Columbus, Ohio, a pioneering hub for trauma-informed coaching, mediation, and parenting coordination services that help families manage complex challenges with empathy and structure.
Amy is a bold voice in the field of family dynamics, known for her innovative approaches that keep families out of the courtroom and focused on long-term wellbeing. She and her team at CFR have guided hundreds of clients through life transitions like separation, divorce, and post-decree co-parenting, offering clarity and support in emotionally charged situations. Her leadership includes service on the Supreme Court of Ohio’s Family Law Reform Implementation Workgroup and as a past-president of the Ohio Chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC).
An ICF-accredited professional parent coach and former educator of “The Art of Positive Parenting,” Amy has been instrumental in promoting healthier relationships through skill-building and self-awareness. She is the co-author of the award-winning book Real-Time Parenting: Choose Your Action Steps for the Present Moment and the author of Mastering Boundaries: Claim Your Power to Resolve Conflict. In addition to leading programs at CFR, Amy is a part-time dispute resolution leader for the Delaware, Ohio Domestic Relations Court, and a partner with My-Robin, a social-emotional learning company supporting educators and families in the NYC public school system. She also serves as Director of Education at the Center for Coach Development, where she prepares coaches for ICF certification and professional excellence.
